2D & 3D Mapping

Mapping all subsea from surface to seabed.

2D & 3D Mapping

Depending on the scope of work, the sonar can be attached to the back of a vessel and towed, or attached to the ROV.

The scanner maps out the sea bed by using sound pulses that bounce of the sea floor and back to the unit which maps the sea bed and any obstacles in its path, e.g. rocks, steep hills, ship wrecks etc.

The images that are portrayed on the screen are in real time and are saved for future reviews.

Using the GPS on the ROV, all the recorded data can be plotted on a chart.

These systems are used for a wide range of scopes.  MDB Marine uses these systems for the renewables sector, plotting, cable laying and rock finding.
